St. Clair County Livestock Competition Bylaws

Lamb Show

1. Exhibitors must be no more than one year removed from high school.

2. All entries must have their milk teeth. Lambs should be born after Dec. 1, 2025, no rams permitted.

3. Each exhibitor may show a maximum of 2 lambs.

4. Lambs must have their tails docked and shown in short fleece.

5. Showmanship classes will be divided by age as of the day of show.

6. Each contestant must show his/her own lamb.

7. No one is allowed to enter the show ring during the show except the judge, contestants, and designated ring assistants.

8. At the show's discretion, classes may be altered to fit entries.

9. Lambs will be divided into 6 weight classes.

10. Trailer parking will not be permitted outside of designated parking area.

11. Exhibitors should prepare to show off trailers or use the designated open space inside the arena.

12. Generators are recommended, there is limited power access.

13. Wash rack available.

Hog Show

1. Exhibitors must be no more than one year removed from high school.

2. Each exhibitor may show a maximum of 2 hogs..

3. Showmanship classes will be divided by age as of the day of show.

4. Each contestant must show his/her own hog.

5. No one is allowed to enter the show ring during the show except the judge, contestants, and designated ring assistants.

6. At the show's discretion, classes may be altered to fit entries.

7. Hogs will be divided into 6 weight classes.

8. Trailer parking will not be permitted outside of designated parking area.

9. Exhibitors should prepare to show off trailers or use the designated open space inside the arena.

10. Generators are recommended, there is limited power access.

Goat Show

5. Each contestant must show his/her own goat.

Beef Show - Heifers and Steers

1. Exhibitors must be no more than one year removed from high school.

2. Animals must be exhibited by the owner, no adults will be allowed in the ring.

3. Each exhibitor may show a maximum of 2 heifer/steer.

4. All animals must be halter broken and properly groomed. Unruly cattle will be declared ineligible.

5. All cattle will be shown at owner’s risk.

6. Showmanship classes will be divided by age as of the day of show.

7. Steers will be shown in weight classes, based on weight the day of show.

8. Trailer parking will not be permitted outside of designated parking area.

9. Exhibitors should prepare to show off trailers or use the designated open space inside the arena.

10. Generators are recommended, there is limited power access.

11. Wash rack available.

Dairy Heifer Show or Dairy Show

1. Exhibitors must be no more than one year removed from high school.

2. Animals must be exhibited by the owner, no adults will be allowed in the ring.

3. Each exhibitor may show a maximum of 2 heifers/cows.
